What do you think about labels?

i really don't like them. they're annoying and cliche...but i can't lie, i like the whole emo fashion and music...and of course am called it everywhere i turn but bleh people suck...

dude who said i was a cliche and hypocrite: how am i a poser? poser is another cliche. ugh. but i don't use labels so i'm not cliche...or trying to be...or whatever...but i am a hypocrite i guess. but i still hate labels. and you're a labeler. go to hell.

Just learn to ignore them. I hate labels too but there is a reason sterotyping has stuck around for so long. Some people do fit into the cliches making it impossible for others to break out of them. If you really don't fit into one of the labels then you shouldn't give a shi+ what others think of you.

I HATE LABELS!!!!! Why label your self,Sure there are certain styles like skater or emo or preppy or what ever but I hate when ever people label them self's and say oh I'm emo or I'm a skater it is so annoying all it does is start cliches.

I hate it. In my school, if you wear black, people call you emo. No joke. I once went through a few months in the winter where everyone thought I was emo, or had problems. Yes, I like black. Yes, I like skulls. I love rock, even heavy metal. Black nail polish is hot. But I'll be damned if I'm "emo". You should see how much pink I have in my closet. I love bright makeup. No, I'm not a prep, I'm not emo, I'm not a geek, I'm not anything. I'm just me. And if I have to go to school worrying what others think of me, then there is something wrong with society.

"emo" is a label but that label rox im srry if u hate "emos" who ever labels them selfs emo in my eyes are ok i guess. but if u wear skinny jeans long black hair ur my type of dude. u can hate "emos" but i dont they have a right to be whatever they want to be. they can be theyr on person or lump them self with a part of soicity that apparentaly no one likes, which i still cant find out why. they and im talking about the b!tchy preps and the nerds can label them selfs or be unique thats how i see it its not up to me to judge people.

I didn't really used to think about them before, but now that I am actually being labeled, I don't like it one bit. The thing that really annoys me, more than being labeled, is someone labeling themselves. It sets such low standards for them to grow as a person...

I think they are annoying usually labeling starts seperate groups...then that group of people would start stupid fights against other groups...If you like the emo fashion and music like I do accept it as long as you're the real thing. xD

Well, I can't say I don't label people, but I can say that I don't care for what they are. I am emo sometimes and other times i'm preppy. I am basically weird.lol. but i don't care. And i know people suck, but i'm still here and it's because I didn't listen to them. I hope you make it.

I don't think much about them. I'm not usually around people who use labels... But I get some of my not-so-friendly friends calling me emo and sh** like that. If it annoys you, don't think about it much.

im the same way, i am into the emo fashion/music. I get harassed everyday, or get dirty looks from people! labels do suck!

cant stand them. i think its stupid and fxcked up when somebody labels you into a certain group and barley even knows you. sure...we all make judgement about others, but even then the voice in your head should be sayying 'thats not right to judge that person'...DUHHH!!!!!!! we are all surounded my fashion statements aka: emo style, preppie girl...ect. but those staements do not label you in a group or say what kind of person you are. GAH! the whole thing pisses me off!!!!!!!!!!!!!
