1. You answer the same question you answered the day before
2. You read so many other peoples’ responses to questions that you start answering other peoples’ questions with other peoples’ answers.

4. You’ve met someone through Yahoo Answers and have their MSN/email/Myspace etc.
5. You’ve gotten in a Yahoo Answer’s “MEGA BATTLE” where you and someone else start answering each others’ questions with insults etc.
6. When you go in to follow a link to a photo or something provided on someone’s question, the link has already been followed
7. You realize that you spend more time on Yahoo Answers than pursuing your other hobbies and/or hanging out with friends.
8. You answer and ask questions on more than one countries’ version of Yahoo Answers
9. You start commenting on other peoples’ comments.
10. You automatically go over to the computer and log on to Yahoo Answers

12. You are level three or up or making your way up very quickly(and if you are just beginning, you max out the amount of questions/answers you can give etc.)

i'll admit i'm guilty of it myself, and if anyone would like to add other signs that someone is a yahoo answers addict or would like to repost this, that would be great!!!=D

You know you're a YA addict when you barely allow the time
to shower and dress for the day. Then quickly log onto YA
as soon as you are able. You don't eat meals away from the
computer, you use the time eating and voting which takes
just the one hand. You barely allow time to clean up your
kitchen and do some simple chores, for fear you are missing
something on YA, or your answer has been chosen for Best
Answer. And you stay up til 1:00 AM nightly, til you're ready
to fall asleep at the keyboard. Just to rack up more points
by answering questions.
This describes me to a "T" lately.

I've noticed that too. I don't know if yahoo is deliberately providing any information, but it wouldn't necessarily need this to happen. Any programmer could write an application to 'scrape' websites, extracting information. The cleverer the program, the more accurate the scrape. Hence a site about widgets could use such a program to scrape other widget sites, extracting the information in a usable form and reformatting it for their own site. It makes sense that Y!A would be a target for this; it's a big site with a high content level, all in the same format. That means the scraper has to cope with only this one format, and can easily make use of keyword searches. While this may be far from legal, it's also hard to stop. It would mean jumping on each and every site that does this. It's a bit like spam - it would probably take some high-profile prosecutions and immense penalties to deter people from doing it. Even then they'll probably just use servers in 'dodgy' countries to get round that. I think it's something we'll just have to get used to. We shouldn't be putting any sensitive information on Y!A anyway, and make sure your screen name doesn't identify the real you.

it shows that u r an addict that u r able to get all the above details...

it will be realized when one sits thru his day on the computer jus like me doing nothing buit answeriing questions, and briowsing something without knowing wat u do.

so if u wanna know that u r a real addict of yahoo answers jus check ou the time u spend on this and in that time u must have been jus going thru the answers not relevant to wat u do and wat u want. and then u start answering some silly questions and sign off for the day...(without knowing the time running)
