Do you think that everyone should be modest? And I don’t mean just the way we dress but in the way we talk also. I dress pretty modest but I am working on the talking part. Please, I want opinions. Not stupid answers that has not point to it. But if you want the 2 points, I don’t care!

BTW what I mean by modest doesn't mean I dress from head to toe with clothing. I mean like wearing long enough skirts and shirts that are not too tight and don't show cleavage. =)

I think modesty is being comfortable with the way one is- on the inside, and the way one dresses will reflect that.
In this case, clothing becomes a secondary issue- Now, it doesnt matter how long or short she wears something; or even what kind of cleavage it reveals. Modesty is confidently showing-on the outside- who you are on the inside while taking into account what you want others to perceive the kind of person you are projecting it, with the kind of clothes you wear. This applies to the kind of language we use as well.

No, everyone should not be modest. It would be a pitiful world if everyone walked around with long dresses down to their ankles.
There are some girls in my town that dress like that, and people think they are crazy.
It has been said that, one of the most beautiful things in this world, is a womans body. I agree with that, and if a woman dresses appropriately, then she looks really nice.
I think that a skirt or dress should come about halfway between the knee and upper thigh. That is not showing very much skin.
Also, what is wrong, with showing just a little cleavage....it shows that you are a woman.

I think there are plenty of us decent women out there. Who
care about how respectible we look, and the image we want
to put out there for people. We take pride in our appearance,
we don't use gutter talk, and we can conduct a conversation
without swearing, or using jive talk. That's because we are
fairly educated, and don't lower ourselves to a substandard culture, of whom there are far too many of these days.
I see everyday, women who are shleps to use the Jewish
word. They don't really care how they go out in public. And
they don't bother to put on a little makeup to make their
appearance more tolerable. These are women just going to
the grocery store to shop. Not people in a downtown business
section, thank goodness.
By and large, I think your term of modesty is still in focus
for most of us. It's the Hollywoodites who believe in showing
the most cleavage and the shortest skirts when going for that
certain camera angle. And young girls tend to copy who they
see on TV. I saw a fat stomached young girl yesterday with
her midriff and stomach bulging and she was just gross.Of course, she was showing bare skin. And she was smoking and thought she looked 'cool' I guess. If she only knew how sad she looked to let herself be seen like that. I'll be glad when that look is passe and girls can look better again, and having some modesty perhaps by covering the fat again.

No, being modest would not be special if everyone was that was. I see beautiful girls that wear revealing clothes and show off their tremendous physique, but I must admit there is nothing more beautiful then a girl that does not show off her physique and dresses and acts with a noticeable humbleness and modesty I guess. I prefer a girl like you no doubt.

About modesty, I think it's underrated.
Really, I think the California style of baggy, unstylish, unflattering, figure hiding smocks and long peasant style dresses is appalling. No way am I buying any of that crap! I'm not falling for the trend. Yes, I need new clothes but not that. I'll shop online first.
