which one is a better investment?

both are branded and quite expensive.

I am a career woman but I don't really think about having gadget to boost my self-image. but all my other colleagues seem to care. To me, TV set is much more interesting. It’s for watching all my favourite movies. I enjoy the arts of technology. I enjoy better viewing.

What kind of person do you think I am and what kind of self-image do you think I should posses as being an executive? Do you think a cell phone would help? Please advise. Thank you.

He doesn't like my present cell phone. It takes bad pictures he said. He suggests better megapixel.

Where are you from? Any executive would have a cell phone already if they were of any importance to the company they work for.... not as a status symbol but as a tool for the company to reach you if needed. Your partner might want a way to keep in touch with you. Everyone has TV's so I dont think that is a very significant gift either. I may sound shallow depending on where you are from but thats how I see it.

Are you saying to don't have a cell phone? If you've managed to live you life without one at this point in time, I'd say you're pretty darn lucky. A cell phone is like nicotine. You'll become dependent on it once you start using it. Anyway, if you're in a company where people judge you based on what kind of cell phone you use, then I think you have more important questions to ask my friend. Go with the TV.

Get a television instead. It's a better investment for your freedom.

Why buy a cellphone if you already have a phone at home to use? You don't need to spend money on minutes. And you have the computer and the Internet to text message.

If you want to be cooler, be a ham radio operator with a call sign. Free air minutes and easier to communicate with help in emergencies. And no, don't classify yourself as a hillbilly. Hillbillies don't know morse code.

Definitely a Cell phone, you really don't realize how handy they can be until you have one. Besides being good for emergencies, you can call to see what you should pick up at the store while you are out, call stores for product availability, and busy restaurants (for wait time) if you need to, People can contact you if they need to wherever you are as well. A host of other pluses too many to mention.

If you think that a cell phone won't be of use to you at all, then get the TV. If you think you're probably going to need the cell phone, then the cell phone would be a better choice. :)

Just because you have a cell phone doesn't mean you are some executive snob. It is a necessity if you want to be able to network and gain relationships in the workplace. Not all phones are expensive either.

I am in my last year of college, and I have a lot of debt. It is scarey to feel like you can't pay your bills. I felt compelled to research my money making options as I do not have time to work outside of my class schedule. This online-money-maker is easy and I can do it around my class schedule. I know I will keep doing it even after I begin my career. If I continue to have the success I am having now, it may just end up being my career.

TV's are for dummies. I've never owned one. Movies you can rent or borrow from the library and watch on your DVD player, even on your computer's DVD player.

I get enough mindless TV when I travel. They're standard equipment in hotel rooms.

Don't just get any cellphone, either. Mine is a computer, and iPod-like music player, a camera, and PDA with GPS locater--all rolled into one.

I would choose a cell phone, personally. It's a good way to keep in contact with others, and you never know when you may need it (car accident, emergency, the like.) Good luck with whichever you choose!
