Its beyond belief that anybody would even contemplate voting Labour after what they have done to this country.
I just wish the Conservatives would get their act together.
Another election victory for New Labour scum and i'm off!

Problem is, what's the alternative?
I can well remember the mess the last Conservative government left, they destroyed to railways, decimated the health service, cut education services, threw tens of thousands of people out of work and virtually destroyed Britain's manufacturing base just for starters and believe it or not, up until the time the Conservatives were thrown out I'd almost always voted Conservative.
Blair (who was my constituency MP) was a disaster and I would never have voted Labour again while he was in power but now that he's gone? Brown has a lot of fence mending to do but he must be better than Cameron and at least he doesn't seem to be sniffing round Bush's backside like Blair did. The only other contenders, the Lib Dems haven't really got much chance although I did vote for them when Blair was in power and I didn't want to vote Conservative.
There are times when I wonder why I bother to vote at all but in this modern age we have got to be governed by someone and if I choose not to exercise the right to vote which our ancestors sweated blood to earn for us, then I can't complain when the government does something I don't like.

No after I would Blair never vote for Labour again. Trouble is Cameron is quite hopeless and immature. The Libs are all going in different directions but they don't know it. Whilst the Tories voted for the Iraq War they were lied to just like the rest of us. One of the leading liars was our present prime minister who went along with the whole fairy tale. Trouble with Brown and his party hacks is that they have been lying for so long about so many things you can't trust them. I would never waste my vote so I'll vote for someone ,probably on the day. The Tories have been out of office now for over ten years so it's time the government began to get it's act to-gether over, immigration, crime and the NHS to name a few priorities.

I wish you wouldn't call them labour, labour is really New Tory, Tory are, well, a mess. The Lib Dems, laughable, although my local MP is Lib Dem and is actually doing a good job for the locals, so he may well get my vote, unless a decent independent stands.
I stopped voting Labour after 2001, when Blair took us into war. I shall not be voting Labour until they sort out the mess that is now Iraq, stop the go-ahead with Menwith Moor "Son of Star Wars", stop ID cards, and stop the infringments of my civil liberities!

1. Yes I would vote Labour
2. what do you mean by more war - Do you object to what has been achieved in the Balkans and sierra Leone. Or perhaps you would like us to pull out of Afghanistan and give the Taliban free reign to extend their twisted beliefs across the Middle East - before exporting it to Europe! Or is your problem Iraq, which any political leader, of any party, would have taken us into.
3. debt. do you mean National Debt or personal debt. The latter is a personal choice, not a government one. The former is well managed, Gordon Brown actually eliminated the debts of the Thatcher years when he was Chancellor.
The real question is, would you really not vote Labour and let the Tories destroy our economy and health service (again)

i'm no longer able to understand everybody balloting Labour after the mess this lot have have been given us into. The financial gadget is now undesirable in spite of the certainty that it has no longer worked this is way with the aid of yet. they have landed us in 2 wars on 2 fronts. they have fouled up organisation pension schemes after advising us to connect them if achievable. they have offered us out to the EC and additionally subordinated our legal risk-free practices on extradition to a distant places powers (the U. S. and EC i'm no longer anti American yet i'm anti-EC) they have did no longer preserve exclusive archives, The record is countless and a few will nevertheless vote for them. i think of even the Monster Raving Loony occasion would have carried out slightly better

In spite of what the LibDems will always try to tell us, the Tories are the only possible alternative. Their policy on our positioning of the armed forces is little different from Labour. I similarly can't see an awful lot that would change our financial position either in the Tory policies. I think whatever we vote, it will be really a case of changing the window dressing rather than the goods that are on offer.
I would not support more war and I would not support more debt, but I would not criticise unless I could come up with a better alternative, so here are a few of my policies....
1. Permit all EEC immigration providing the immigrants first proved themselves to the country by working for two years in the construction industry for board and lodgings only. (Housing problem, what housing problem ?)
2. Solve the prison overcrowding by exporting the prisoners to jails in third world countries. Nice and cheap for the taxpayer.
3. Bring back all the troops to the UK.
4. Restore a pride in being British..........and if you support the wrong cricket team, you're on the next boat back to wherever you, or your parents, came from. (Apologies to Lord Tebbitt)
That will be it to be going on with, but I've lots more policies where they came from.

Unfortunately theres very little credible alternative. I agree with what you're saying but Im not really convinced that anyone else can do any better. However, if you don't vote then you can't complain.
