when considering a car, which matters more.

for example, a 93 honda accord with 80,000 miles Vs a 99 Honda acoord with 168,000 (100k of which were put on in the last 3yrs)

of course, this considers all things being equal ( i.e, maintance being performed when need, both in the past and in the future)

which will last longer?

(please disregard traits of either vehicle- this one is know for this, that one for this, etc)

it matters about miles, ok the engine is like the muscles tissues of a car if its constanly being use over years and years it wears down and if a lest say a 93 accord just sitting there on a lot just being moved around the lot from here to there it would still run strong so it the mileage a car cant run without a good engine right. the 93 will last longer but if u put a rebuilt engine in the 99 you can drive then sell it for a descent amount because if a car has 100k miles its considered as an over miled vehicle

An interesting question. If you are a car collector, then the dream is to find an old car with virtually no miles on it , That would be very valuable. On the other hand, if I found an older car with few miles on it, I'd be very worried that there was good reason why it wasn't driven very far. I would not trust it as much for a daily driver as the high milage newer one that obviously ran well and never broke down.

miles matter more, even though both of these card are hondas and will run up to 250k or more with out a problem, the 99 accord has a lil too much mileage go wit the 93 , it should last u a good while

the 1999 was driven on average 20,375 miles while the 1993 was driven about 5714 miles a year.. both pretty crappy. don't get either. my mom had a 1993 Honda. No power locks or windows and it always broke down. just hers for some reason. find a different honda with less miles
