a third party candidate only serves to split the vote of the person closest to him and guarantee victory for the person most opposed to the 3rd party's ideology.

I agree there is no worthy candidate..from either side...but the the other parties are completely ignored by the media..so I have no idea what their plans are.
So I may just end up writing my name in...or maybe like that one movie....none of the above.
That would be interesting....who would be prez if no one was elected?

Personally, I think it is time to abolish parties, and not even name candidates on ballots.
I think they should ask a series of question on the issues, for federal offices, and whichever candidate reflects the answers you give, is the one that gets your vote.
At the end, it prints up a little receipt, telling you which candidate you voted for.
After all, it is the issue that is of the utmost importance, not the person or the party.

Do you mean to ask us whether we will support a 3rd party? We already have had 3rd parties on the ballot over and over and over again. If the clear majority of voters wanted to support a 3rd party, they already had the option. So if you want for most voters to actually support a 3rd party, say so more clearly please.

The best way to have more than two choices is to vote in the primaries. Duncan Hunter would make an excellent president.
