What if we never got involved in trade with China??

Things would definitely be more expensive since most of the products in USA are made in China. That's nothing new.

However, it's not to say that they can't trade with somewhere else for cheap. There's India and other third world countries.

If no one makes things for cheap, there would be an inflation for everything. It's not like things aren't expensive already, but imagine target clothes for like 30 dollars. Then, Hollister shirts that are regularly 30 dollars would go up to 60 dollars! American cannot afford inflation. The gas prices are already killing us. If clothes, shoes, electronics were to raise in price too... how many people would be able to afford it? I mean, it's not like the US would higher the basic salary... which I believe is $7.25? It's pretty hard to live making low pay. Low pay + inflation means poverty!

Thank god for China "workers" that make like 2 cents a day for making our 30 dollars shirts, 60 dollar shoes, etc.

US economy would totally fall.

Then everybody ELSE in the World WOULD, & our goods would get more & MORE expensive, and WE would get "cut out" of the deals where our products get sold to the Chinese (& with over a BILLION people in that Country- that would be a BIG loss for US!). Like it or not, there's NO getting around dealing with China. They're a market too big to ignore.
