I turned 16 in June and I didnt get a present because I was grounded by my stupid dad. Now school is almost starting and this morning my parents pulled up in a used 2005 volkswagen beetle. I almost cried because it pissed me off for them to wake me up early in the morning to give me a stupid, ugly, used car. I want to return it to the dealer. They only drove it about 10 mins from dealer to my house. Can I return the car? will they take it back? what should I do if my parents refuse to return it? If im forced to drive this ugly car for the rest of the school year, I will die!!!!!!

hmm..your 16, you dont own the car. You cant take it back, Your parents have to. It can be taken back, most states have a 3 day limit to cancel a contract, but dont you think your being alittle spoiled?
maybe it has to do with your dog abortion question, idk, just going out on a limb here.

Are you crazy? Beetles are awesome cars!
Go get a part-time job (or full-time if you're on vacation) and save up for a paint job. Then you can have it painted some color you like that will change how you feel.
Join a Beetle club online or something, and change the way you feel about it! I guarantee some of your friends will wish they had your car. Take good care of it and pride in it and it will change the way you look at it.
Either that, or try telling your parents in the most humble and grateful way possible that you're really sorry but you don't want to drive the car. Maybe they have a solution. But if you don't tell them IMMEDIATELY it will be too late. And depending on circumstances, it may not be returnable. But act now or hold your peace and enjoy it. You are so lucky!

What is low is calling your parents names and being an ungrateful spoiled brat! I predict that you will end up in jail before you are 20 years old. Your parents should take the car back or donate it to charity or better yet give it to your worst enemy and you should have to walk miles to school uphill both ways in a blizzard!! lol

You're such a ungrateful little brat. I'm turning 16 in Sep. and I know I'm not getting a car for my birthday.I won't even get a "happy birthday" because my mom is a Jehovah's Wittness and we dont celebrate them. You've got a car now quit the BS and grow up.

Hey, volkswagens are having a rebirth coz of the new beetles, so why are you whingeing! At 16 you should be happy your parents got you a car and not a new bicycle like mine did for me!! How ungrateful!

A 16 year old cannot take back a car without her parents permission and besides your parents will see you don't have the car...Whats the point? And why were you mad they woke you up.... You kinda sound bratty..

Seriously, you know what I'd do? Make friends with some of those "black girls and latinos" you are slagging off in another question, and arrange to have it stolen. Then your parents can get the insurance money, and you don't need to drive the car. It's a low thing to do, but, girlfriend, we already know that you're low.

wow umm... i would be greatful to even have a car at 16 i had to build my own car throughout high school and i didn't even get it going until i was 18 so i would have been happy to have a butt ugly car that atleast worked so stop being so damn spoiled
and no you cant take it back you have to be over 18 and have a non-provisional DL
