I hope so because I think that is ridiculous. I like the Saw series, but it doesn't need to be more graphic than it already is.

They will most likely cut out just enough gore so that the rating becomes R. This is because it is much easier to market an R-rated movie, since most media do not want to advertise NC-17 movies and most theaters won't run NC-17 films. However, they will most definitely put most of the original material back in the "unrated" DVD.

Hostel Part II got rated NC-17, but when they fixed it up, they got rated R
i thought Hostel Part II wasn't gory as the first one... i thought it needed to be more gory

Of course it'll get recut. Barely any theaters will play NC-17 movies, and if this movie plays in barely any theaters, it won't make money.

Of course, the MPAA will tell them more things they need to cut for the rated-r version. That is what the MPAA does.

how can there be a saw 4 when everyone died except the kid in the 3rd one?
