osama is living in his daddy's palace in arabia. i don't know if he enjoys beings bush's personification of evil or not.

obama had to get tough with someone after hillary called him a ***** in the debate. now both hillary and bush are calling him a dangerously ignorant hothead. walking into traps like that makes me think he's not smart enough to be pres.

maybe he should go over to osama's palace and hang out in the basement playing those video games. they're effectiveness in the real world is over.

No, he hasn't said that. If you had actually listened to his speech -- or even read an accurate quote -- that's not what he said.

But yes, in a sense, he is following bin Laden -- Barrack has said that the US should attack the terrorists camps where bin Laden is hiding (which are in Pakistan). So, you could phrase that as "following Osama"....

And Barrack mentioned specifically in his speech that he would only propose that after speaking with the President of Pakistan, and giving the President of Pakistan the opportunity to handle the problem himself.

But if nobody else will stop bin Laden, Barrack would use military options to do so.

Isn't that what the "war on terror" is all about -- attacking and stopping terrorists, specifically bin Laden?

Obama said that if the Pakistan government didn't go after Al Qaeda, he would send troops in to do so. That isn't the same as bombing Pakistan.

Also, if you want to compare policies towards Pakistan... how about the approach of 'winning hearts and minds' by pumping $750 million of our taxpayer dollars into tribal regions of Pakistan where Al Qaeda is hiding out?

The way I see it, Bush's plan runs a high risk of Al Qaeda getting their hands on some of that money and using it to fund attacks against us. As for Obama, sending troops could very well mean covert ops and some crack shots. To me, that's a much sounder policy than playing 'footsie' with a two-faced Musharraf or using conventional warfare against rebels. Neither of those strategies has worked well for us in fighting terrorism.

Isn't that where Osama is? How could he be following in the footsteps of Osama, if he wants to kill Osama? And shouldn't the Bush people be more concerned about Bin Laden than they currently are?

If by "he has reportedly said" you mean "I made the whole thing up", then you are correct.
