ktoe = kilo-tons oil equivalent

That is, 1 ktoe is the amount of energy equivalent to that which is contained in 1000 tons of oil.

' toe ' means Tons of Oil Equivalent
ktoe means 1000 toe.

1 toe = 41.84 gigajoule

1ktoe = 41.84 tera joule

tera means 10^12 and giga means 10^9
