You should watch Sabrina the teenage witch it has all the spells and witchcraft you will ever need. Plus hey that talking cat pretty trippy. I was smoking peyote and my cat started talking to me but then I put a spell on him and now he speaks Spanish so like the rest of Southern California I don't understand him.

12.7... well I guess that's as good a time as any to begin inquiry.
Try hitting the local used book stores for any of Scott Cunningham's books and study them.

It is possible that there might be a local shop that offers classes for real education in a clean manner, but a lot of them that I have run into have been more about nutjobs trying to recruit "followers". Some will not have you around without permission from your parents.
There are some good forums on http://www.meetup.com

First off, I will let you know that Wicca is primarily about doing various types of ceremonies (spells) to assist you in focusing your mind-over-matter connection. Any type of spell you cast can work, but be aware that any attempt to change someone's path or interfere with their free will is an infringement on Universal Law, and you attitude in putting something out there will determine how many times it is magnified in coming back to you.

So if you cast a spell on a particular boy to make him like you, that is manipulation and you will get the ol' cosmic slap on the wrist. If you do a general type ceremony to attract a friend (no names) for your best and highest good, then that is okay.

The biggest magic you can do is get out of your own way and face down your fears/hangups, and become a better person.

Hey sweetie! Blessings and encouragement to you! You are in a power position that we adults can't compete with: you still have the magickal imagination and power of mind that most adults have lost by the time they hit 20. Once you become an adult, your power could be lost if not encouraged and will be very difficult to regain. I suggest that instead of burying your nose in non-fiction books and websites, go outside. Call the faeries. Whisper to the wind. Sing to the stars! Hug a tree. Watch nature work. See if you can hear an ant. See if you can remember past lives. Let your mind be free! Read fiction, lots of stuff. Try "Anne of Green Gables" - I think it's great witchling reading! When you're ready to tackle a serious witchling classic, read "The Mists of Avalon" by Marion Zimmer Bradley. Big hugs and bright blessings!

Hey, it's ok! I started Wicca when I was 12 too! (17 now).

When I started I went to MSN groups that delt with Wicca. I learn SO much from those places and made good friends.

I also look all around online at random sites.

These are my fav sites:

Good luck! And I would advise you not to mess around with love and or money spells. They can turn out harmful and or bad. You'll find that warning on most wiccan sites.

Blessed be!

The Witches' Voice website would be my recommendation. Don't expect anyone to be willing to mentor you though because of your age. I'm not saying it to be mean but there is an unwritten rule about taking in students that are under 18 years old.

Good luck. And I wouldn't hang out on this message board there are a lot of nasty people here.

first, all these rude people should be reported for abuse you are just a kid!
Second read up about it. On the idea of fiction, read the Sweep series by Cate Tiernan. It is a good, fictional line of books.
Involve your parents if at all possible in your choice.
Blessed be and happy reading.

I have to say that you aren't too young BUT honestly your parents need to know of your interest. I'm a witch and a mother. I can appreciate you interest I really can but it's up to your parents whether they will allow it. There are lots of books and I recommend Scott Cunningham.

It depends on why you want to learn it. Like to make your self pretty would mean you might as well cut your wrist now.
