depends on situation-
if it was just SO DISTASTEROUS and he hurt you really badly or you hurt him really badly or you were both badly hurt, it might not be the best idea. but it was years and years ago and you guys both feel like you can give a friendship or relationship another chance then go for it! in this case u both probably have healed from broken hearts and might be able to give it another go. but in any case listen to your heart!! if its telling you its hurting too much or its not meant to be then dont hold on to something that cant work. but if your hearts telliing you to hold on to this guy and you fall in love all over again with him dont let him get away!!

No, you already lost your boyfriend and adding it to that you are also loosing your "best friend".It's not fair.Couldn't he find someone else?
