In Massachusetts what is the legal length for a blade?
i think it's 6 inches but i'm not sure
and i think its stupid that there is a law on how long it should be i mean i don't think many people will be running down the streets with 25" katanas

Open your hand, lay knife blade across open hand. If the blade extends out past the palm, it is illegal to carry.

Mass General Laws Chapter 269 Section 10(b).

Any folding blade, double-edge blade, or spring-loaded blade over one and a half inches is illegal.

I am not licensed to practice in Mass, but from my research, as long as it is single edged with a fixed (non-folding) back, I cannot find any maximum length..... But check with a licensed Mass attorney for confirmation.
