U can take some Advil for the inflammation. I would also try some warm packs, then ice them after. This will reduce the swelling faster.

R I C E
This is good for any bump or bruise or sprain, etc.
R - Rest
I - Ice
C - Compression
E - Elevation
Keep your ice on 20min/off 20min. If you can get an ace bandage around it, it would be good, and keep your head above the rest of your body. That's the best we can do. If you see double or can't be woken up or any other strange symptoms, have someone drive you to the ER.

my son fell and got a huge bump on his head and my dad told me to apply a potato cut in half and pour sugar on the exposed side and press off and on for twenty minutes and to my surprise it went down over 50%
