there are two types of air masses, the cold air mass and the warm air mass. the boundary between two air masses are called front. the naming of fronts are based from which of the two air masses are fast moving than the other. if the warm air mass is fast moving than the cold air mass then we call it as a warm front and vice versa.
as we all know, when gases are heated, their molecules expand thus making the speed of gaseous molecules faster. Applying bernoulli's principle:once the speed of a fluid increases, pressure decreases.
A warm front is consist of expanded air molecules creating a low pressure area serving like a vacuum. So the tendency of the area with a warm front is to suck cloudiness, precipitates and wind - leading to a cyclone formation and once the conditions for typhoon formation is present, it may become a storm.

A warm air mass has a higher moisture carrying capacity. A cold air mass is also heavier, and when the 2 meet along a front, the cold air mass slips under the warm air mass, lifting it. As the warm air mass rides over the cold air, the moisture condenses. Uplifts keep the moisture circulating until it is heavy enough to recipitate as rain. This is why squall lines develop along a front, and why high pressure regions behind the front are more stable, clearer and cooler.

The temperature difference causes condensation.
When a warm front hits cooler air the warm front air cools down. This reduces the amount of water vapor that the air can hold so the water falls out as rain.
Rain happens along fronts because of the temperature change. The warm front picks up water moisture under normal evaporation and when it gets colder the water has to fall out. Warm air can hold more water vapor than cold air. So when you get the cold air meeting the warmer air you get the temperature to change thus causing rain.

A warm mass of air holds lots of water (compared to a cold mass). When you say "warm front" that means a warm mass is moving into a cold air mass. Cold front is just the opposite: cold air moves into warm air. That means that the warm air is being cooled down thus reducing its ability to hold water, thus precipitation.

As the warm air impinges on the cold air it tends to ride up upon it due to its lower density.
As the warm air rises, it cools causing condensation of the moisture it contains.
This leads to a flat cloud deck, and if there's enough moisture, rain.
