I have an IUD. I find that after sex, I sometimes get a very painful pain in my right side - in my ovary area. It feels as if something is stabbing me inside around that area. Could it be the IUD moving around during sex and getting displaced? Could this cause harm to my uterus, possibly causing damage to my uterus?

I know - I should call the doctor. I just hate the doctor - and when it comes to the IUD - I don't want it touched! LOL...way too painful to put in!

Yes, this could be the IUD and if it is moving around yes it could do some serious damage to your uterus possibly affecting fertility.

But yes, I know the feeling of hating going to the doctor but yes, please let them know what's going on so that they can evaluate the situation further and help you figure out if it's the IUD or not.
