No. I would like to block out some things, but to put the world on mute would also block out those I care about.

Frequently.

I used to most effectively do so with Transcendental Meditation. For a brief period of time it was like everything, including myself, stopped existing. Afterwards one felt much more balanced and able to take on all that "noise" out there.

Not exactly everyone in the world, only the people who should be quiet. I'll end up getting in a row with them if the continue speech.

I am hearing impaired so, my world is mostly mute. Sorry for you guys tho.........LOUD NOISES HURT !!!!!
