I'm curious, I've had this conversation before many times, and was wondering what men's opinions are.
I have two small boys and am in a complicated relationship and was just curious as to what men really think.
I am not planning on leaving my relationship right now, but have in the past.

Ella not only would I date one but I married one. She had three kids as did I. We are very happy and knew of each other's children prior to becoming involved with each other.

I don't really think so me... I mean as much as I would love be the father I"m really not and it just isn't the same as a real father for the child.

I know this from personal experience. My real dad walked out on me and my mom when I was little and my mother got remarried, which just isn't the same as having a real father.

Since I know this from my perspective I just think I wouldn't fit in as a step father. I mean I will always be considered the lesser one of the family and that isn't really something I want. I want to be on the same level of love as everyone but this just isn't happening.

Hell NO...kids from another man bring too much drama and the worst part is that the father of the kids will be ALWAYS nosing around.

But even if the father were dead or "missing in action" I have no interest on dealing with little monsters (it's a fact of life that kids show no respect to someone that is not their real father; so to hell with them and the mother).
