Just pretend the next house is your house and go in the gate. Act casual but get a glance of the perp following you as you close the gate. Don't forget to take a picture of the car on your camera phone and send it to your mom with a caption like "Being followed home"

e- a combination of running and screaming for help.. Always run to the nearest phone at a store if there is one nearby or a home you know..
It actually happened to me on my way to work once and that is what i did and called the cops.. they ended up finding the guy too..
