ther's alot of adult stuff there
i sawed it oncew on a kids chanele,
i looked on YouTube
and thay showed one chick boobs on episode 21
whay do thay show this stuff to kids?
not like i have anything against it

Ranma 1/2 was a kids' show in Japan. (Note to subsequent responder: "teens" are "kids")

There's an occasional bare breast, in a few episodes, but not done in prurient fashion. The first episode has a couple, there are more in a few episodes that take place largely in public baths. However, most episodes are clean.

The Japanese don't share American hang-ups about breasts; in that culture it's not a huge deal. There's no coarse language, no violence any worse than "cartoon violence" (i.e., less than you'd see in a typical Bugs Bunny cartoon), no sex or even implied sex. So... I'm not sure what you mean by "a lot of adult stuff."

When my daughter was about 8, I pre-screened the episodes and wouldn't let her watch certain ones. By the time she was 10, she was permitted to watch any of them.

It's a teen show, or at least a show primary aimed at people with juvenile minds, it's not primary aimed for kids nor for adults.


The showing of breasts are allowed in Japanese TV, even in a regular time slot.

On the other hand the showing of any genital is strictly forbidden in every official Japanese media, even in pornographic materials.


However the majority of Japanese aren't really into breast showing and so on. Sure the Japanese TV allowed it, but that doesn't mean the Japanese agree with what ever the Japanese TV show them.
