Forgiveness is something very good. It's basically forgiving somebody for what they did, and not a lot of people are like that. I always forgive people if they do something bad.

Forgiveness should be given to everyone. But it can only be given to a certain extent, because people who always ask for it are just begging not to feel guilty.

Before I broke up with my so called 'ex boyfriend', he was always saying he was sorry and asking me to forgive him, but when I found out he was cheating on me for his other 'girl friends' I just lost total respect and trust in him, and I gave him no more chances because of what he did.

Forgiveness is getting past something. When someone wrongs you, it may be difficult to look at that person the same way again. To forgive them, you cannot bring up the thing that happened that made you so upset. Making the person feel bad about what he or she did is a sign that you have not gotten past the incident. Any person who says that they can forgive and forget, though, is an outright liar. You will never forget what happened. You can only lay it to rest inside of you, and not let it worry you any more.

Don't be a sucker though. Screw me once, shame on you. Screw me twice, shame on me.

If you can't forgive someone, then you don't deserve them.

Forgiveness to me is allowing yourself to let go of something that may have hurt in some kind of way. I think that no one is perfect, and we all make mistakes and therefore we should all have the forgiveness of others. Toting hatred and harsh feelings around only makes you hard, so forgiving is going to better for you in the long run. It always makes you feel better to forgive and go on.

Letting go of negative feelings when someone has wronged you. Everyone deserves forgiveness if they are truly sorry for their wrong doing.

Forgiveness is about seeing beyond your personal feelings. Not everyone deserves it.

Not dwelling on a bad deed that someone has done.

In my opinion if the forgiveness is for something trivial such as someone crashing into your car (accident) then yes. Murder, rape, cheating on a partner no.

forgiveness is about releasing any bad feelings you might have about something that someone did to you, to the point that you have no ill feelings toward the person even though you won't allow them to walk all over you.
