If you have first pick, you have to take a running back. Even a QB as great as Peyton shouldn't go until at least late in the first round. There are some other decent QBs out there, but great running backs are tough to pass up.

This is a no-brainer. It has to be LT.

If you win your league's draft lottery, you should be about as giddy as the Cavs were on the day they found out they would get LeBron. Two words: He's good. Tomlinson's record 33 total touchdowns (28 rushing, 3 receiving, 2 passing) last year were more than what 11 teams produced. Even if there's a bit of a drop-off, no worries: Tomlinson's average season over his first six years is 2,010 yards from scrimmage and 20 TDs. Oh, yeah, he also has missed only one start in his career.

If you have the No. 1 overall pick and don't take LT, you shouldn't be playing fantasy football.

Anyone saying pick Peyton is likely in your league and trying to screw you, or not real good at fantasy football.

LT, you won't find another RB as talented as LT anywhere in the draft where as their are a few QB's to put up point like Manning. You can even get them in the 3rd round in most cases. Carson Palmer, Drew Brees, McNabb (when healthy), and Tom Brady should be close too with Moss at WR.
Carson has been going 2nd round and Brees has typically gone in the third rd.

I have never heard anybody recommend taking Manning over LT, or taking Manning higher than pick #7 or #8, for that matter.

There are many RBs who will be more valuable to your team than Manning at QB.

i bet those people are in your league...they just want LT for themselves.
it's not that LT will get more points than manning, but you start 2 RBs and only 1 QB. plus, their are decent QBs that can be had later in the draft.
