I always use this equation...
Is/of (times) %/100
What is _ percent of _ ?
325 (is) / x (of) TIMES 6.5 (%) / 100
or
325/x TIMES 6.5/100
write it out.
6.5x = 32500
divide divide
6.5 = 6.5
x=32500/6.5
x=5000
