why would you make that assumption. Her offense took place prior to her being pregnant. BIrth defects as a result of drug use usually happens if there was continued drug use especially during the 1st trimester. To see some of these respondents talk as if they know the baby will have FAS, or defects, is hilarious. They should all go into the psychic business since they know so much. I wonder how many of them will end up eating crow when the baby is born healthy.

I don't know but I hope her baby comes out fine. Even if Nicole Richie and Joel Madden aren't the most perfect parents, no one DESERVES a birth defect.

It's quite possible. She is hardly the picture of health, and doesn't seem at all to be doing anything towards the well being of this child. If it doesn't have birth defects, it will certainly have psychological scars.

lol YES!! and the drugs & drinking isn't even the big part. when ur pregnant, you have 2 people to feed. and since she DOESN'T EAT, then she wont only starve herself, but now her poor innocent baby will suffer. =[[

I think that as long as she doesn't take any more drugs, those won't affect the baby, but she has to start eating a LOT more!!

probably not...I see alot of pregnant women who do stupid **** and still have cute babies...it's the honest women who end up taking care of a child who isn't well...
Just like the women who don't take care or give a damn about their children but are spitting them out left and right compared to the women who adore and love children but are unable to have any on their own...
just one of life's unfair ways...i guess.

Yes. She should get an abortion for the sake of her child... and hopefully... she gets help for substance abuse and anorexia. I wasn't even aware someone as tiny as her would be able to conceive, let alone have menstrual periods.

not trying to be mean or rude or anything, but it definitly will. if she doesnt lose it first! she doesnt weigh anything, there is no way that she can carry a baby.
