No a T-Mobile phone cannot work without a SIM card. A sim card is basically your number and plan on a card. If you put it into another T-Mobile or unlocked phone your service will work perfectly and your phone number will be the same. VERY convenient! :)

the sim card is the brain of the phone. It keeps everything including a memory base to enable all features to work. It's the same as a hard drive in a computer. If you ever try to use a cell phone as soon as you turn it on, you'll get a message (reading sim card) which means that nothing can happen until the memory from the sim card is uploaded

your phone cannot work without a sim card and yes you need to pull it out of your old phone and put it into your new one. It's the small card that's usually behind the battery. You just need to take it out of your old phone and place it in the small slot, usually behind the battery, on the new one. Your phone number is attatched to the card and if your contacts are saved on your sim card, your phone book will transfer over to the new phone too.

Yes, you can take the sim card out of the t-mobile phone you have now and put it into the new t-mobile phone and it will work great!

Take care.

r u serious! i got my first phone wen i wuz in grade 3 so anywayz a sim card is this small little card or chip, u put it at the back of ur phone, it really depends on wat type of phone u got buh most phone gots sim cards. wen u get a new sime card ur number changes, every sim card has diff. nummbers... if the type of phone u get needs a sim then u cant call, text or do anything such without it. but u can always use ur sim card from an older phone to a new one! but it wont work if the sim is from another country.

Your sim card is how your service provider keeps up with your calls. And no, they are not interchangeable. You have to go to your service provider to get your sim card.
