Sorry Dick W, but that day is here. That enemy is George Bush. His small but vocal minority of supporters will support their emperor until the world comes together against this country.

The former Soviet Union always warned that without a 2nd superpower, the U.S. would run amock in the world. Now even Gorbachev agrees and says this government is a threat to world stability. Republicans and Democrats are not to blame. The CIA, with its neocon agenda, has been lying to Congress for 50 years. They told Kennedy that the Bay of Pigs was deserted and 'freedom fighters' could land there safely. They lied. They have lied many times to encourage military attacks against other countries, and for the past decade they've been lying to Presidents and Congress about Saddam 'absolutely' having WMD's and nukes.
Problem is, Bush is on the same page as the CIA's rogue elements. They don't lie to Bush. They don't need to. He knew their were no WMDs. He knows that Al Qaeda has the quiet support of the Saudi govt. He knows that a U.S. occupation of mideast countries will fuel jihad against us. He wants this chaos. It's profitable to him.

On this one, I'm going to side with most of the Bushbabies. Dumdum, asking questions like that do nothing to help engender cooperation and bridging the huge gap between Americans. It appears that you're falling victim to exactly what the government wants....they want us divided. They want to pit us one against the other.
I'm not for sacrificing what I believe nor am I willing to accept that the Constitution is not as relevant today as it was 200 years ago (or as Bush so pointedly said, "it's just a g-d piece of paper".
I do not hold either Republican or Democrats as innocent in what's going on in our country. Both are to blame. Yes, Bush is doing what he's doing and it's bad, but, the Dems are doing nothing about it. They're all caught up in getting re-elected and doing none of the things they should be doing.
So, lets not fight amongst ourselves. They day may come (and come soon) when we all have to stand together against a common enemy and that enemy won't be terrorists. It will be our own government.

Do you ever wonder what ol' Ben Franklin meant by that statement?
Surely you don't suppose he meant that anyone not willing to confront their enemies who would take their liberties deserve neither security nor liberty.
As far as what we should do with Bush supporters - why not become one - that's a novel idea - support America's efforts in trying to end this ideology of hatred and domination once and for all.
On the other hand, we could revert back to policies of inaction and no effective response to the terrorists' attacks - after all, those policies worked so well right up until 9/11.

Oh goody someone quoting a man who lived over 200 years ago and believing he has an insight on whats going on today. If Ben Franklin was alive today he would support our efforts to stop terrorism.

would you rather see 10 thousand Americans dead, because we didn't do everything in our power to stop those that killed them? As far as what to do with Bush supporters, please remember that Democratic leaders in the 90s were saying the exact same thing about Saddam and terrorism. They in effect supported what Bush has been doing. What do you want to do with hillery Clinton, John Kerry, Madiline Albright and many others?

Make them all walk down main street in their home state wearing nothing but a sign saying I voted for Bush and I 'm for the war.

since your good at quoting Franklin why don't you quote the rest of his speech and talk tell us what was happening at the time- because taking peoples words out of context and changing the meaning of how things were put only belittles you as unintelligent
