America isn't swinging to the left.

The left in America seem to only read leftist publications/websites and only believe leftist speakers on radio or TV. Have you noticed how the left HATES Fox news but adores CNN, MSNBC and Air America?

If you fill your head with fantasies and surround yourself with like minded people, you will come to the conclusion that the majority thinks the same way as you.

I could take your bait.
But instead I challenge you--an open minded, "progressive" person-- to broaden your horizons and accept the notion that not all citizens of our country are hate filled as the leftist blogs imply and that it is possible to have an opposing view.

the big probelm with things at home is that even American citizens don't care what happens here- if you don't vote then you don't care- the empire abroad- dude you wouldn't know what the term empire meant if it BF'ed you and walked away smoking a cigarette. You probably have begun reading several books on how bad this country is and bam you are it- try focusing on how much good this country does- see how much it helps and then learn about the bad- you would be amazed.

Not given the current crop of self-serving cretins in Congress these days! We gave the Dems back control of that institution to get us out of Iraq and restore the Constitution to it's rightful place, end illegal wiretapping, extraordinary rendition, torture, the suspension of habeas corpus, and a whole host of Republican misdeeds - and what do the Dems do? They whimper, whine, creep and crawl to avoid changing a diddly-dam thing! I say - take all of "official" Washington, put 'em on a desert island and have the US Navy use the island for gunnery practice! All it'd take would be a half-dozen smoke rounds and they'd get the message: QUIT SCREWIN' WITH THE ELECTORATE!!

You are mistaken, my little long-haired hippie. America is moving towards the right. People may dislike Bush, but that doesn't mean that they are moving towards the likes of Hillary or Obama or Edwards. Bush is not a conservative by any means, and the lefties have been so hateful, socialist-leaning, and intollerant as of late that mainstream America is definately moving towards the right. But go on and have your little liberal delusion.

Really? I had no idea. I mean, 13% approval rating in congress in under 6 months. It took Bush almost 7 years to get into the 20's. What a swing to the left. Air America must be soaring with the eagles in ratings then, huh?

LIberals have been rejected by mainstream America, evident in the lack of "progress" by congress..the spectacular performance by"error" America, and the Supreme court laughing at you from the bench.....

No way, the people will become more brainwashed and though there will be a very vocal minority who sees clear as day what is really going on, their voices, like always, will be suppressed and they will never obtain any power.

The corpo-government media controls everything and they are colluding with government to keep the masses suppressed and pacified.

It would be ideal to have a government that actually listens to the people and worries about our country first...I hope we can have that kind of government soon.

Only the politicians and the liberal mainstream media are moving even farther left. This is still a center-right nation and when everything comes full circle the moral majority will take it back from the immoral minority.

In the crapper unless we halt the trend. I fully agree that all parties are slowly moving to the left.
