You can order a fomica one from the Home Depot for about $65. Then glue it on and dap the edges. Worked for me and I am a renter. My Landlord loves me.

For the quick fix, yes go with paint. Ben Moore makes a product called Fresh Start around $25 per gallon. Then go with a high gloss finish paint. The paint should be no more then $30. The higher the gloss the harder the finish. Scuff the counter with 220 sand paper. You will want to use a thin foam roller. Normal coat for the primer and two thin coats of paint should be enough. If you are doing a crazy cheap flip on a house. This is the best way to achieve a cheap and pretty good results. gl

Painting your counter-top rocks!! We've done it twice with great results. You just need to make sure you don't cut on the counter without a cutting board (oops... it happens)

Someone else did my counter-tops, so I'm not absolutely sure on the paint we used. I do know there are special "counter-top" paints, but I would check either your paint/hardware store for info or check out this website of what others did- good advice on here.

Behr paint, Roasted Pepper!! believe me this is going to be the colour that is going to bypass with each and every thing you have stated above. it particularly is a alluring shade which will bypass with the white cabinets, tan counters and floor and with the dark timber kitchen table. I had a very easy organic maple kitchen with black counters and residential equipment and a depressing timber glass genuine table and everybody could no longer recover from how acceptable it regarded. as quickly as I offered the abode each and every person carried on on the subject of the acceptable kitchen/ingesting section. inspect that shade, i think of you will agree.

Probably the best cover up would be laminate (like Formica) It can be had fairly inexpensively and will last much much longer than paint. One warning, cutting and gluing laminate takes a bit of practice.

Paint looks shabby very quickly. You could glue new laminate on top of your existing laminate for a cheap but presentable looking covering.

is there a hole, or are you covering up the whole thing? there isn't a paint for countertops, but if you want to cover a hole, you could get a piece of scrap granite for free. they should only charge you to buff the edges.

I would give it a good cleaning. let it dry and apply self stick floor tiles.............they work wonders and come in alot of colors.........they are easy to cut if you need to.

you can alway's redie your countertop instead of covering it up. it's isn't much if you do it yourself.
