That is what some Democrats are saying, so I was just wondering why he did it.

And just to clarify... it was a tragic event... but how many hundreds of thousands of bridges are in this country? And how often does one fall? 1 every 10 years? That is a really good record. There is NO way this can be completely prevented. It's going to happen. Unsinkable ships sink, unbendable steel bends, and unbreakable bridges break.
It has nothing to do with Iraq, it has to do with physics and gravity.

because he's focusing all the money needed to maintain transportation infrastructure, into the war in Iraq.
ignoring the needs of civilians over that of the troops
my respect goes out to the troops though, just not the politics
I hope they get to listen to music on portable Mp3 players while they fire off some rounds....... maybe like
Filter, Hey Man Nice Shot
wish bush would pull a Budd Dwyer
(R I P Budd)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R._Budd_Dwyer
......
its not about Iraq. Its about money and the lack of funding.
Check the time frame here
"Gov. Tim Pawlenty said inspections of the 40-year-old bridge in 2005 and 2006 found no structural defects, but a 2001 study conducted by the Minnesota Department of Transportation found "several fatigue problems" in the bridge's approach spans and "poor fatigue details" on the main truss."
I do believe it was MAJORLY the result of poor engineering, and planning.
And it wasn't the best place for a bridge.
Kinda like a swamps not the best place to put New Orleans
"It has nothing to do with Iraq, it has to do with physics and gravity."
then why are YOU bringing up bush?
and if you can answer your own question and don't want to hear other peoples opinions = don't ask the question

what democrat said the=at he knocked over the bridge? I do not believe any sensible person would say that. Maybe you just misunderstood. I am the biggest Bush basher, but even I would not think that he would do something like that. What happened in minn is awful, it is a tragedy. My heart and prayers goes out to that entire city.
And for clarity. No one said he created the hurricane. What we said was that he was in no rush to provide the necessities such as drinking water to the survivors of the hurricane. He was more intersted in posing for the cameras.

Oh come on now!!!!! Even as much as I dislike Bush, he did not knock down the Minneapolis bridge. Everything else is his fault, yes. Just not that.

Yes he has the power to do everything.
He causes the hurricanes too, we have to worry about
what he is going to do every summer.
Good Grief.
It was tragic what happened but it wasn't his fault.

Didn't you know that GW is responsible for everything that goes wrong.
Aren't our politicians something? I wish they would spend less time saying stupid things and more time trying to resolve our Country's problems.

We have to realize that our president is a president and not a supervillain who flys around in tights snickering and wreaking chaos.
