Its a perfectly normal action, if she had a problem with it she would have let you know by now. There's nothing to be ashamed of, your simply expressing you sexual needs through self pleasure. Most likely she understands what your going through, because she was a teen as well.

HOLY S*** dude are you for real. Dang thats really embarrassing lol alright enough bashing from me, dont worry its okay!!! Heck she should know that, that many people masturbate and its normal, its okay, and could be a healthier alternative. I would assume only time could "heal" this experience. If you feel unconfortable not talking about it and just want to get it out, just say to her, "Im sorry you had to witness that but that does not make me bad person what so ever and Im not the only person in the world who masturbates, so let us please try to move on." Dont worry dude, I know someone who was "humping" air while dreaming and their mom walked in. Well, of course you should be careful about where you jerk off. That's a lesson you learned the hard way (no pun intended).
Don't ever speak to her about it. This is one of the few things that you should never ever bring up (again, no pun intended) or address with her in any way.

Tell her, that you were having safe, ad healthy sex.Because you weren't having sex with someone else, so your just pleasing your self.Or tel her, that you had nothing to do, and you were wanting, to have sex, so instead of going through the trouble with condoms, you just masturbated.
