Scottrade is the best (assuming you're experienced) & want only a few small transactions.

If your new to trading;
Charles Schwab
Fidelity Brokerage

I love: www.ThinkOrSwim.com
Great if you're serious about trading.

Making this decision based soley on price is not wise.

I have found that Scottrade does this very well and two stocks you could invest a few dollars in and make some money would be bbcz and chng. To open and account you only need $500.00 as compared to $2,500.00 for some other sites. It's worth the investment.

" best" and " cheap" shouldn't be used in the same sentence.
Log in to Fidelity or E-trade...both to a great job at " reasonable" rates...
P.S Hardly anyone requires full- lot purchases or x number of trades anymore...( you will however get lower commissions as you trade more)
