I hate to break this to you, but you may be the target of a scam. If he asks for money from you for any reason whatsoever, say, "No thanks," and leave as quickly as you can. No reputable agent will ever ask you for money. Neither will they have you audition with promises that you could be in a specific show. It smells fishy to me. Be careful.

I agree with the guy above you, it could be a scam? This is just an audition for an agent? And then he will be sending you on auditions for the shows. So it's many steps. Anyway, just make sure they seem legitimate (phone up SAG or somebody to figure out if he's a real agent at a real agency, make sure you have a parent, and DON'T PAY anything, a reputable agent would not ask for money).

I would say the best advice is to be yourself and be natural. Be sparkly, show confidence. But don't act too much like a mini-adult or like you're trying too hard. They seem to like it natural. Wear something like jeans and a nice top. Do you have monologues prepared, did they ask for them?

Please show this to your parents. Theater doc is right. This is DEFINITELY a scam. Tell them you can't make it and you're not interested. I'd hate to see you get your hopes up and then get disappointed. And your parents being out a ton of money. Did they approach you at a mall or in some other public place and ask if you were interested in acting or modeling? Are they John Robert Powers? Barbizon? Casablancas? All scammers. Legit agents have tons of qualified people beating down their doors to get a contract. They don't use talent scouts. And if you don't live in NY or LA all the more reason. There is almost no work anywhere else.
Again please show this to your folks and if they have any questions they can e-mail me. Don't get taken. Sorry you didn't hear what you wanted to hear but it's always better to hear the truth.

Please show all of these postings to your parents, so they understand what danger may lie ahead.

Honey, take your mom or dad with you.
Legitimate Talent Agencies are NOT open on Saturday, only Monday through Friday. Please, do NOT go to his office alone.
