It could be a Red Tailed Shark, Platy, Swordtail, Betta, Barb, Discus, Goldfish, Gourami, it could be any type of fish! Try googling red and black fish and see if something like yours comes up.

yea thats not very helpful.
Most fishes have a dorsal fin, and most common tropical fish will come in that varity of coloration.
certainly like stated, it can be a platy, also a betta, sword, etc..
try posting a picture.

Could also be a red tuxedo platy, or a serpae tetra. Do you seriously think anyone can tell you without a picture? Google red & black fish and see what comes up.
