Ya, It was terrible! Bridges have always kind of creeped me out, but now seeing this bridge collapsing even after it was given the bill of approval, scares me even more! My neighbor's dad was supposed to be there [crossing that bridge] around the time in collapsed, but instead he stayed home and did yard work for an extra hour. Its terrible to think that if he had left when he was supposed to, he could've died.[or be terribly injured] wow!

It is sad and tragic that so many people are going to be found dead from this bridge collapse. I will be jittery for awhile when crossing bridges. There is one that I cross a lot, it gets a lot of big trucks on it, they accelerate from a stop light at the end of the bridge and it makes the bridge shake and vibrate.

I just heard the news and i didn't know what to think. I saw the video of how it collapsed and it was just tragic. I never really liked bridges myself and whenever I was going over one (Even small ones!) I am always praying. That kind of incident would surely arouse Bush to act and do something to fix other brigdes too. God Bless!

Yeah, I know that's crazy. I saw on the news that you have a better change of winning the lottery then a bridge collapsing when your driving across it. I bet those people are going to be traumatized.

The bridge collapsing is very tragic. I can't imagine the nightmares that the survivors will be going through.

I know! There's a bridge near my house that is closed for a while because it was inspected and it needs major repairs. Thank God they decided to fix it or it could've been my bridge that collapsed instead of that one.

It is a sad time. There is no understanding of why a bridge would just tumble like that. I bet five years from now, they will only be speculating.
