Here's a site to read about it. It also shows a pic of the ride itself.

The ride was at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom. The ride is a cable drop ride. It's made by Intamin AG of Switzerland, and it's type if Generation Drop Tower 2. The ride's name is Superman: Tower of Power.

The cable snapped, and the girls foot hit the shears of the metal. Both foots came off. They reattached one, and they other one, they are hoping, the prostatic works, or something like that. The cable on the ride is with the car that takes up the passengers, and than let's them go at the top.

After the ride is through, the car that's at the top will come down, and reattach to where the passengers sit. This ride used to be called Hellevator, but they just repainted the thing recently.

(CNN) -- A girl's feet were cut off Thursday when a free-fall thrill ride malfunctioned at the Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom Amusement Park in Louisville, Kentucky, police said.

A cord wrapped around the 16-year-old's feet and severed them at her ankles while she was on the "Superman Tower of Power," a police dispatcher said. The girl was taken to a local hospital.

They were later able to reattach only one of her feet. The rides were temporarily shut down. I heard that the company who makes the ride said that Six Flags installed the wrong cable on the ride, but I have not heard what Six Flags had to say about that. They are suing Six Flags.

Power Tower ride;s cable broke & severed her legs. 4 that reason I won't ride it. If yer gut tells U NOT 2 ride something, then DON'T!!!!!!! U'll B GLAD U didn't when something either happens OR U learn of a past problem.

www.rideaccidents.com has great info on her accident. She's out of the hospital now, and has a long way to go for recovery, but she's doing good. They were able to reattach her right foot, but not her left.

It was a drop ride, and when it was going down a cable snapped, hit a few people, wrapped around her feet and pulled them off.
