Leave any any responce you want about the Red Sox either it be about how they now have a 8 game lead from the yankees or just naming your favorite player. Yankee fans dont waste your time saying crap about Red Sox. I want to see how many Sox fans there are on yahoo answers. So answer away Sox Fans.

Well, the 8 game lead is nice, but it's still only August 2nd. Let's see how big the lead is on Aug 31st. If it's still 8 games, I'm going to be a happy guy.
I was surprised by the Gagne trade, but the move made sense when Terry and Theo explained that Okajima is about to surpass his career best for innings in a season and it wasn't even August yet.
While Gabbard showed us what he can do, he's also not the kind of pitcher that the Sox are looking to build their starting rotation around. Theo wants guys who have the "oompf" to get a strikeout when they need an out and that's not Gabbard, who's reminds me a lot of John Tudor -- a lefty who throws strikes, but doesn't have overpowering stuff -- and those kind of guys can get killed at Fenway.
As for Murphy, I wrote him off when he stalled out in the minors a couple of years ago. If he was going to be a great player, the Sox wouldn't have traded for Crisp a couple of years ago, they'd have promoted Murphy and let him learn on the job.

I'm a BIG red sox fan. I like to scream and yell at the tv and cheer when they get a hit or home run. I really like Big Papi, Curt Schilling, well I like them all. They are doing so well right now. I don't have anything to say about the Yankees because I'm more focus on the Red Sox and getting them back into the World Series.

Another proud member of Red Sox nation just putting my name in. They are definitely favorites for the World Series and i cant wait for the first October i can remember without the Yankees playing. Having trouble deciding on a favorite after they let Trot go though. Go Sox, Celts, and Pats!

john v you should die. it is actually against the law to be a fan of both the yankees and the red sox. im not kidding, it has to stop.
definitely dont want to overhype anything, but with another game gained on the yanks today, looks like the sox will win the division and keep the evil empire out of the playoffs this year. i would be very excited to see a playoff bracket without pinstripes.

Yankee fans gotta be frustrated - they've been winning alot of games lately, but just can't gain any ground on the mighty Red Sox. My heart bleeds for ya. Of course, we Sox fans know better than to get cocky. We've been down this road before. Let's just take it game by game.
One comment though - why is Wily Mo Pena on our team? The guy is LAME! He almost always strikes out and can't field a ball to save his life. The occasional hit doesn't make up for his dozens of strike outs.

Look, not a fan, not an enemy. We're cool, just dump that Brandon Donnelly bum. Anyway, as far as sox go I LOVE Tim Wakefield, he is an amazing pitcher and just comes back year after year to help you guys towards the end of the rotation... Man It's gotta be wicked to have that knuckler comin' at ya!

Another Red Sox Fan. I love the Gagne trade. We don't lose any of our top prospects. It just fortifys our bullpen and anyway we getting curt schilling back.

im a red sox fan but (dont kill me) i like the yanks too. Yes the Red Sox are the powerhouse in MLB. But i think the cubs may give them a run for thier money.....its just a fact. the cubs are the hard team to beat this year.
