i have this friend who lives in texas and i live in minnesota. well anyway i found out that she is having a baby shower. i had asked her why didnt i get a invintation and she said its because she knew i could not make it becuse we are long distance she also said its because she dosent want me to feel like i have to send a gift. what should i do. im so mad at her for not inviting me
im so sad. should i be stressed

Don't let this make you feel down. She might be telling you the truth. Either way, just wish her and her new baby happiness. Send her a card and move on. You did say "one of my friends.." so that means you have other friends!

I don't understand why in the world you would be angry!! I just have to wonder if you would have been angry if she had invited you. Then you could have said she just wanted a gift because she would have known you couldn't come to the shower because you live in a different state. If she is truly a good friend, why not be happy for her, ask to see the pictures of her baby shower. Begin to think what you can do for her when the baby is born. Whether it be a gift for the baby, maybe a special gift for your friend, like a pretty night gown or a wonderful remembers, like an embroidery picture in a frame with the baby's name, birth date, weight and height. If you think about it and are honest, I believe you are a bit jealous of your friend and probably miss her being so far away. Get over it!! She is the one having the baby and I'm sure she Cherish's your friendship!

I'm sorry that your upset, but your friend was only thinking of you. Maybe she thought it would be to hard for you to get away from work so you could come or that you wouldn't have the kind of money it takes for you to get from Minnesota to Texas. So you see, it seems like your being the selfish one, not her.

The friend obviously cares about you because you do live far a part so you wants to save your money and time. You might have work and stuff and a busy schedule.

She explained everything to you, unless you feel she is a liar. If you feel her aim was true, then don't feel stressed and follow who directive....you don't have to send a gift (read it carefully), so you may consider sending something if so inclined.
