what would be the pressure of the gas sample?

0.81 grams of SO2 has volume of 1.20liters.

As per the gas laws 64 gms of SO2 has volume of 22.4 liters at NTP ;
So 0.81 grams of SO2 should have volume of
= (0.81/64)*22.4 litres;
=0.2835 Lts.
But ,the observed volume at 25deg C = 1.20lts

So P1V1 = P2V2

or 1*0.2835 = P2 *1.2

or P2 = 0.2835/1.2 ;
or P2 = 0.236 atm.

Using the ideal gas law, PV = nRT, just substitute everything in. You are looking for P, so rearrange the equation to say P = nRT/V

S02 has a molar mass of about 64.1 grams/mol, so you have n = 0.0126 moles of SO2.

R is your gas constant: 0.0821 L atm/ K mol

25 degrees celsius is equal to 298 K, so T = 298 K

V = 1.20 L

When you substitute it all, you get P = (0.0126)(0.0821)(298)/(1.20)

Just plug it into a calculator to get your final answer in atm's!

Since your ideal gas formula requires moles, convert your weight of SO2 to moles. Then you do the pV= nRT thing with p as your unknown, V=1.2 L, n= moles from above and R= 0.082 L-atm/mole-degK, and T= 298 deg K. Your answer will be in atm.
