i have recently been thinking about getting a cell phone, since ever since i got into high school, ive been longing to text and chat.
so ive decided to do the verizon wireless family plan with my mom (or somebody, idk) with * Unlimited Text, Picture, Video & Instant Messaging
* Unlimited Night & Weekend Minutes
* Unlimited IN Calling
* 3-Way Calling
* Voice Mail
* Caller ID
(straight from the site)
and also its 99.99 a month, with 700 free minutes ( i trust i wont go over the limit)
but my mom will agree only if its 99.99 dollars a month for BOTH lines, of course, if we dont go over the limit. so im asking, is it only 100 bucks for 2 lines?

The 700 min America's Choice® Select Family SharePlan® is $99.99 plus TAX and fees per month for two lines. Both lines share the 700 minutes
The plan includes: Unlimited Text, Picture, Video & Instant Messaging to anyone on any network in the U.S.
Unlimited IN Calling to any Verizon Wireless Customer and Unlimited Night & Weekend Minutes.
Access to America's Most Reliable Wireless Voice Network.

Unfortunately you have to pay taxes on everything, so ultimately it will end up costing you more than the $99.99So you are looking at $115.00-$120.00 per month.

You can always get the America's Choice® Basic Family SharePlan® 700 min, for 69.99 per month and add a text plan to that: Unlimited IN Messaging, plus 500 additional messages $10.00, Unlimited IN Messaging PLUS 1500 additional messages $15.00, Unlimited IN Messaging PLUS 5000 additional messages $20.00.

If all of your friends are on Verizon then get one of these plans. You can also send text messages to other Verizon Customers via their website.

According to the Verizonwireless website, the $99.99 Family plan covers only the first two phones for 700 minutes. That includes unlimited text & picture messaging in the U.S.

Quote:
"Two lines starting at $99.99 with 700 Monthly Anytime minutes"

There are actually 3 basic kinds of Family Plans (we have the first one) so choose the one that fits you best.

Most cell phone family plans charge:

1) A monthly rate (in your case $99)
2) An extra phone rate (mine is extra $9.99/month for each extra phone besides mine (my moms and my wifes)
3) Taxes and fees and other crap (like texting, roaming, long distance, intl long distance, etc.)

A $99 phone plan with an extra phone added will probably end up costing you around $130 when all is said and done, if you are lucky!
