It flys has four legs and has a orange v on its back and the rest is all black. they seem to come out in the spring for one week then they disappear then now they are out in the summer its been at least a week of seeing them around. They were out like wild this morning. I noticed i see a bunch in the light fixtures. it is driving me crazy.

I agree, boxelder bug, red shoulder bug (Almost identical except for some upper thorax markings). Milkweed bug is another possibility, but when you mentioned light fixtures, that's gotta be boxelder. Use a vacuum to suck them up.....shop vac not house vac. Spraying pesticides on this guy is just too toxic to you and of little value to the bug since he hibernates in your attic over winter...aren't you glad you asked. Obvioulsy make sure your vents have screen over them and all entraces to the house are well chaulked.

Box elders are pretty as far as bugs go, and they are harmless, too. They are black with orange markings. There is a picture of one at Wikipedia, only they call it a maple bug. I see lots of them in South Dakota.
