Good choice in destinations!

I highly recommend staying at the Queen Victoria B&B located on Ocean. The QV is 1 block from the beach and 2 blocks to the main touristy area - Washington Street Mall. I can not recommend the QV highly enough. The only drawback is that you have to park your car about 2-3 blocks away, but it doesn't matter cause you won't use it anyway.

The QV has cruiser beach bikes that you can use, very nice beach chairs to use and beach towels. Not to mention breakfast and afternoon tea. You won't even get away from the breakfast table before 11 if your like us. We came away with a whole new group of friends.

The Washington Street Mall is an area of town that is closed off to traffic with 100 or so little shops selling all kinds of stuff. It's outdoors, not a "mall". You can easily spend a whole day poking around there.

The beach is great. Like all NJ beaches they charge $4/day for a pass, but the beach is beautifully clean w/lifeguards every 200 yards or so. There are various restaurants and beach side food joints to get food if you wish. Bar's across the road for a cocktail when you've had enough sun.

If you want there is also parasailing, whale watching (we could see dolphins from the beach for free) and deep sea fishing trips.

For dining - Washinton Inn - number one recommendation. Let Ann-Marie at the QV make your reservation for you. Washington Inn is walking distance from the QV.

Also, the Peter Shields Inn is a great place for dinner. Peter Shields is a BYOB place, so bring a couple bottles of good wine with you - they will chill it and serve it. My wife and I had a 5* meal there with 2 bottles of vino and it cost under $100 including tip - my wife had rack of lamb (i.e. not cheap). Once again let the inn keepers at the QV make your reservation, the Peter Shields Inn will send a car to pick you up - service or what!?!

Place to avoid - Lobster House. This is the most over rated restaurant in the eastern seaboard. Many people recommended it to us, I can't over emphasis how disappointed we were. The first clue should have be the waitresses wearing sailor uniforms.

i do no longer whilst your coming in spite of the undeniable fact that that's extremely chilly here till the tip of April. there is not any longer that lots to do on the park different than walk the paths which you will possibly desire to do in a pair of hours. a lot of companies in Cape might might desire to nonetheless be closed for wintry climate in case you come back in April. evaluate the park a one million/2 day journey. Cape might factor State Park is superb utilized in summer.
