Irish Whisky, Tullamore Dew (worth the money)

Canadian Whisky, Forty Creek(as good as, or better than Crown Royal and FAR less expensive!)

Either of these will be good over ice.
Sorry to sound like a whisky snob but if you are doing shots, I really don't think that taste is important. (I have no doubt I will be corrected on this point!!!)

there are so many different kinds of whiskey its a very personal choice and it depends on how much you want to spend. Crown Royal is a rye whiskey, its one of the better ones but there is also adam extra stock a very smooth drink, I personally like Park and Tillfords Royal command 8&18 year old blended and it is very affordable. Then you have scotch whiskey a fine single malt ;will certainly win favor with the folks, try for a twelve year old single malt Dalwinney is like angles dancing on your pallet. Then there is irish whisky myPersonall favourite is Bushmills black bush, god I could go on all night about this but try one of the above, you arguaranteeded to win some major point with the old boy.

Jack Daniel's No 7 is a product that makes me proud to be an American. It mixes well with your choice of cola or beer. I think a gallon would last me over a year, so be careful, don't over do it and be with people you can trust.

Edit:Okay, Sweety. I was just concerned about the baby that I thought was there.
IN THAT CASE, Jack Daniels is the best, IMHO. Makes the best whiskey sour that I have EVER tasted!
MMMM*squeak*WAH!
No hard feelings, I hope!

Scotch whiskey. Any single malt Scotch. I prefer Talisker. With a single malt Scotch it's reprehensible to add anything.

If you're drinking it straight, Glenlivet is some seriously fine swill.

For mixing, whiskey sours are always good.
