Something back in the silent era. I saw one in "Intolerance"

First one I remember was from the movie: OMEN.
Someone was decapitated by a full sheet of plate glass. Awesome shot, the plate glass separated his head from his body, the body fell to the ground and the head rolled down to the other end of the plate glass and then fell to the ground. For me, that movie had so many firsts.

I believe the first was in an old silent movie about Anne Bolyn.. (I remember my Humanities teacher talking about how people believe the actress really was killed on the Guilletine because it was the first movie to use a dummy)

i dunno but the first decapitation I saw in a movie was in "showdown in little tokyo".
