traditionally, you should accompany lager with cheese n onion crisps, bitter with salted peanuts, and on the way home you should invest in a large doner kebab with as much chilli sauce as the paper can soak up. when you get home, forget about it for twenty minutes, while yo stumble to the toilet, then eat two pieces of 'meat', before deciding that you are now a highly skilled chef, and would prefer a 'ready steady cook' type challenge. as there's never any food in the house you now settle for a cheese and nutella sandwich, wich you will find under a cushion sometime in the next few weeks, or worse your new girlfriend will find it. there!

it's gotta be a curry 'n chips. mmmmmmmmmm otherwise anything salty like a super size back of Tayto or peanuts. That's just if you can't get to a curry house. Just in case you're asking because of wine-ish notions of palatability, this is not in the same league at all. Beer is not a great accompaniment to good food generally. Just go for junk food like Nacho's or something that comes with a sauce, like a curry. Did I say that already?

Just tucking into barbecue chicken thighs though would normally go for anything that registers HOT like pizza with jalapeno peppers or chicken vindaloo. It's a man thing, taste is unimportant...

Don't really know as I don't drink beer but just like to thank you for your birthday message to me. Love the utube animation you put on there.
Thanks a lot, you've made my birthday a little better.
