Hi all aloes are best grown in full sun. These plants must have good drainage in order to survive. The potting mix may need to have a coarse sand or perlite added, to ensure good drainage. Supplementary fertilizer is generally not needed by aloes, If you are growing plants in containers, however , or in a very poor soil, they will benefit from slow-release granules applied at the beginning of the growing season. Water when dry. Good luck

Water well and then let dry quite a bit before rewatering, scratch down in the soil, should be dry before watering again. Every 6-8 weeks on fertilizer during Spring, Summer and early Fall. None during winter. Good well, draining soil, lots of light but be careful if it's been in a lower light, moving to direct sun is dangerous, can sunburn it. So very bright light, maybe not quite directly in the sun. Tolerant of heat and some cold, tho will turn a bit funny color if gets too cold.

This is a desert type plant so doesn't need much water. I seldom fertilize mine. I started with one almost 30 years ago and have probably had a hundred starts off of it. If you put it in the sun it does get sunburned at first but it will come out of it.
