My duck died today and i'm really upset. I feel like throwing up. Tips on felling better after this tradgic death?

there is a bridge connecting heaven and earth. it's called 'the rainbow bridge' because of it's many beautiful colors. just this side of the rianbow bridge there is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass.
when a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. there is always fresh food, clear cold water and warm spring weather. the old and frial animals are made young again. those who were maimed are made whole again.
thay frolic and play with each other each and every day; but there is one thing missing...they are not with that special person who loved them on earth.
so...each day the run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up.
the eyes stare! the body quivers! and this one suddenly runs from the group!
you have been seen; and whne you and your special friend meet, you take him or her in your arms and embrace. your face is kissed again and again and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pal.
then, together, you cross you cross the rainbow bridge, never again to separated.

Sounds like a raptor got it. Do not feel too bad. This is nature who sometimes seems cruel. You must supervise ducks as they are way low on the food chain and lots of creatures see them as food. This was no crippling disease. AND now that a raptor knows there is free food at your place, it will be back. Remember - raptors are protected by law. Please do not blame yourself or the raptor.

Yea, that happened to me a couple years ago.......just think hes in a better place, you can get a freckles Jr.!!!

Losing a pet can be very hard. Time is all that heals,as with any loss. You'll just have to ride it out.

The thing you need to do is let yourself grieve. It will take some time. Don't let anyone tell you to get over it because it was a pet...Take your time.

awwww. honey i feel your pain.
just remember the good times with your lovely pet duck.
im sure she/he led a real good and long and prosperous life.
