How long should I wait to play a baseball game after I break my pinky finger?
I got hit by a pitch and it broke my pinky finger. How long should I sit out before its ok to play again? I have it taped to the ring finger, and its been a week ago today. Is it ok to play today?

you need at least 4-6 weeks recovery time. if you try playing now you could just make it worse by trying to bat especially if you get hit again in the pinky finger.

I would play the next day its a finger big deal....i'm sure you actually need 4-6 weeks but who cares? just flex your pinky a bunch of times and there you go, it will feel fine.

Six weeks and then under the doctors care.
Careful in your position as if you catch a pitch or first base throw or even fly ball can re=break the finger.

Get x-rays. You're going to need at least 6 weeks before you even pick up a baseball. Don't rush back otherwise it's going to get worse.

I think your season is over. Don't go out there until the finger heals, otherwise you risk aggravating the injury and making things worse. Be patient.

talk to a doctor, but normally you should wait at least three weeks so the bones can get back into place, and then just see how you feel. Doctors normally tend to overexagerate things like this in my opinion

Sometimes finger injuries take forever to heal, maybe even a year. Once it doesn't bother you to throw or catch,or it's swollen, you'll be fine to play. Until then, be patient and don't overdo it or you could aggravate it.

I would wait at least seven weeks or you can risk tendon damage.

4-6 weeks....and you should see a doctor to make sure that you won't be needing surgery.
