It is really hard to pick one... since all empires had great influence and effect over the world and civilizations...Personally, I would choose Britain for now

I think the UK had the most influential empire in history. The British Empire was the largest formal empire to date and because of this, its power and influence stretched all over the world. It had a massive impact on the history of the world because its' reign dominated the world for over a century. At the height of its power, the empire covered about a quarter of the world's land area.

I know most would say Roman Empire, but I would have to go with Inca Empire. Their Empire was just as well organized as the Romans. If they had not been in the middle of civil war and had been used to European diseases or the Spaniards had gotten to them a year earlier or later, the Incas could have beaten back the Spaniards. Even with the modern weapons, the Conquistadors would have been beaten by superior numbers.

The best empire? If you mean the vastest, I believe its the British Empire. I am British, and am proud of the technologically advanced empire my ancestors built. The Empire allowed us to live in the luxury we do today, and, if you look into wars the empire had, we won those that we were outnumbered in, and lost those we weren't... Strange, but proves how advanced and powerful the empire was.
